Young Mum's Bite Back!

This Blog has been created by a group of young mums as a voice for teen parents, to share advice and experiences, offer information and support on services in Newham (East London, Olympic Borough). This is a chance for you to share your views, opinions, experiences, aspirations and jokes, also to get information and support that may help you in the future.

let me just say the easter holidays was wicked enjoyed the weather there's so many place's for parents to take their kids to as a contrast to the way things were in the 1900's. we have dance schools, play schemes, theme parks and many more 'name it and ive been there' or your child has it would be good to hear of your good and bad experiences on outing

I was 28 when i had my son and i still felt i was too young, there is no manuel, you just have to get on with it. I had no idear what to do with him taking him out the first time was scary, giving him a bath i just though i drop him and drown him but i dident. What ever age you are its a big thing but a good thing i think you can be a good mum at 16 or 46

Just wanted to know as part of this project if any of you use social network sites such as Myspace or Facebook? Interested as there is a lot of media coverage but wanted to know if people really do use them or if they are any use.

i am sinead i am not a mum but my sister was just 16 when she had a baby.
i think if you are mature then it is ok to have a baby over the age of 16. if the persoin is under 16 i dont think they should have a baby because they are not grown up enough and are too into them selfs at that age.

Hello,

I work for a television company called Mentorn Media. We’re making a series about underage teenage pregnancy and I’m really keen to hear your story.

The tv programmes will follow both mum’s-to-be through pregnancy and birth, as well as those who have recently given birth. It's not about making judgments – it’s about telling the real stories of teenagers and hearing about your experiences in your words.

I's really like to hear from you as we’re looking for a mix of teenage mums-to-be from a variety of different backgrounds to feature in the series.

If you're 16 years old or younger, and this sounds interesting then please drop me a line on here or email me on asimons@mentorn.tv or call 0207 258 6711.

Thanks,

Andrew
