i have a two year old son and i have no intentions of working untill he is five years old and in full time school.
i strongly belive that childern need there mothers around them so that they can make a strong bond with one another.
i would hate for somebody else to spend my babies first few years with them. i heard my baby say his first word, stat to crawl, stand by him self and take his first steps. these are the reasons i had a baby to spend quality time with noyhing else even comes close.

i think that the job centers should not presure mums into work untill there children are over the age of 5.
i have to attend the job centre once every six months to discuss what i am doing and what i want to do in the near future regarding work.

I'm a mother who doesnt work and that's on my own choice that i wanted her to stay at home until she was 3 and for the fact that i wanted my daughter to be able to talk openly before she went to school so she could tell me if any thing is wrong is now nearly three and speaks fluently and shes starting school in January where i plan to go straight back to work, i feel i need to not only bring in the money as a single parent but working gives me a sense of security and aim for mine and my daughters future. i couldn't judge someone for wanting to stay at home with their kids but at the same time i think its good for a mother to go back to work just not straight away. like Leigh said the first stages of a child's life is the most precious and a mother should be there to see it.

i think if times were hard and i needed extra cash i still would not work untill my child is in school. i think this is partley to do with the fact that i could not leave my child with a family member due to the fact everyone in
my family that's not in school is working them selfs and my son freaks out when placed into a crech.
